Greeting card accessioned into Science Museum’s COVID-19 Collection

I'm thrilled to share that my greeting card, featuring Santa as a key worker, has been accessioned into the Science Museum's permanent collection as part of their COVID-19 collecting project (Object No: 2021-476). This initiative preserves objects that capture the pandemic's impact on our lives, honoring the resilience of key workers and the efforts of healthcare and scientific communities.

You can view the card in the Science Museum’s collection here and read about the entire COVID-19 collection project context here.

Many greetings cards makers developed cards with designs reflecting responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. Key workers are designated by the United Kingdom government as “critical to the coronavirus (COVID-19) and EU transition response”, also known as Brexit. These include people working in health and social care, education and childcare, local and national government, transport, public and national security, utilities and communication and public services such as emergency response, charities, religious staff, and journalists.
